I couldn't choose, so I decided to share 2 items that are very special to me.  First is my dad's watch.  Some days I wear it to make me feel closer to him; I don't always wear it, but I usually do have it with me.  

The second is a quilt made (HANDmade, mind you) by my lovely Gram.  It was a goal of hers to make quilts for each of her grandchildren by hand.  I believe, if I'm correct, she's on her sixth.  I loves.

New York 2001.  

First trip to the city with my mom.  We walked 10 miles a day, saw 2 plays on Broadway, got lost in the wrong part of town, laughed a lot, ate a lot and fell in love with the city.  This particular picture was taken after we saw Les Mis.  We were all dressed up for the occasion and after having had an irritating cab experience on the way to the play, we figured we'd just hoof it back to the hotel.  Unfortunately, we left the theatre on the opposite side we'd come in and were completely turned around.  It wasn't until we crossed into a pretty shady part of town that we realized we were going in the wrong direction.  We made it back to the hotel eventually; unscathed, aside from my mom's poor pantyhose.  (c:  

My Grandpa was also in town for business, so we met him for dinner one night and he walked us around the city showing us where he used to live and the places he used to frequent.  It was my mom's birthday while we were there and he wanted to treat us to dinner and a show.  We had the chance to see The Producers with Matthew Broderick and Nathan Lane.  It was pretty fantastic.

When I was little, I wanted to marry Superman.  Growing up I regularly watched Star Trek: TNG.  I'm pretty sure both of these had an effect on my nerdy-ness and my love for science fiction.  Enter Doctor Who.  Being that the show has been on the air since the 60s, the actual cast of characters is quite large and the Doctor has, thus far, had 11 faces.
