artist spotlight: *marcin stawiarz

felt like doing another artist spotlight.

marcin stawiarz has a very interesting style. he does a lot of time-lapse imagery, which is interesting because he shoots mostly nature and architecture which are typically static objects. the cool part about it is the focus of the photograph, whether it be a tree or a building, is almost always surrounded by wispy clouds that give the picture movement and at the same time making the whole image seem somehow unreal.

he, like myself, chooses the creepiest trees to shoot. he pulls something from them that tells a story and draws the viewer in for a longer look. occasionally, he integrates people into his scape, tho it's never really portraits...he uses mostly silhouettes. it never ceases to amaze me how he can set the mood for the photograph just by the gesture or stance of the person.

my words could never do his images justice, so take a look. (c: enjoy!
